Shivani Shah is a 2022 Zetema Fellow and is currently a 2023 MD/MBA Candidate at Harvard Medical School and Harvard Business School.
As a Zetema Project Fellow, her role is to participate and present in Project meetings, contribute to Project research and writing, and enhance the Project’s network by engaging with the Project’s Panelists, Contributors, and staff.
At Harvard, Shivani is actively engaged in health policy research in several areas, including payment reform and surgical outcomes. Her work has been published in high-impact journals such as Health Affairs, JAMA Health Forum and the Annals of Surgery. She has also served as Co-Director of Crimson Care Collaborative, a set of seven student-faculty clinics in the Boston area, and led the development of its telehealth programs during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Outside of graduate school, Shivani has gained experience in non-profit, government and private sectors. Her work spans from organizing public sanitation projects in rural India to advocating for Medicaid reform with the Duke-Margolis Center for Health Policy and working on clinical innovation at Aledade.
Shivani earned a BS in Biology and Public Policy from Duke University.
