Presidential Advisors Debate Options in the Evolving Healthcare Reform Environment

Each day brings a new development in the healthcare reform roller coaster. For up-to-the-minute commentary from competing perspectives, join us for this invitation-only, closed-circuit debate at 4:30 EDT / 1:30 PDT on Tuesday, April 18.

The program will be streamed live at zetemaproject.org/live

Leading policy experts Democrat Bob Kocher, MD, and Republican Lanhee Chen will weigh in on the ups and downs of health reform – whatever its current state. Focusing on the differences between the parties, this wide-ranging discussion will address both specific policy items and ideological divisions, such as: ·

  • With no change, what will happen to the exchanges? How can and should they be stabilized?
  • What is the best opportunity for a bill that could get broad Republican support?
  • What is the best opportunity for a bill that could get bipartisan support?
  • What happens politically if no legislation is passed before the next elections?
  • What do the current political dynamics mean for Medicaid?

Moderated by Zetema Project Chair Mark Zitter, this 60-minute live debate will offer viewers opportunities to comment and ask questions.
